How the Bottle Was Made
Philly has it all. Grit, beauty, “attytude”, history, food, a gorgeous skyline set along two rivers, diversity, and culture. We have one of the largest urban park systems in the country in Fairmount Park. We have the best fans in the world, and we did invent freedom!
Billy Penn rising above the skyline, a nod to the years when no building in Philadelphia could stand taller than him. When that changed, fans blamed the “Curse of Billy Penn” for the championship drought, until a miniature statue was placed atop the tallest building in 2008 and the Phillies won it all.
The game coming through the radio with Harry Kalas’ iconic “Outtaaa Heere!” Listening to games was the soundtrack of my childhood, and I still say this phrase ALL THE TIME.
Picasso’s Blue Period. There’s something so strikingly beautiful about using shades of blue as a monochromatic color scheme.
“TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia).” Big energy, hometown pride, and unmistakably Philly.
My morning walk along the Wissahickon Creek with the pup after dropping my kid at school. Nature gets me in the right place, and Northwest Philly has a ton of it.
I’m an avid gardener. But more controversially, I believe the Italian roast pork is superior to the cheesesteak.
Stimulus overload. Philly has so many layers, and I wanted people to spend the game discovering new Easter eggs with every inning.
